Audemars Piguet pioneered the use of forged carbon in timepiece design and production, inspired by the use of the material in the highly competitive world of world class yacht racing. The world's first forged carbon case was executed in the highly coveted and now iconic Alinghi Team All Carbon.
The calibre 2884 movement continues the three dimensional design motif, where innovative use of dial space and movement design allows the movement maven to enjoy an unparalleled view of the mechanical wonder inside even from the dialside. This approach was started several years ago by AP, beginning with the Tradition d'Excellence N°5,followed by the Millenary with deadbeat seconds, and carried on with the classic Jules Audemars Chronometer with Audemars Piguet escapement.
Combining all the best talent in each of the major modalities of a true manufacture - Engineering,Design,Watchmaking, the Audemars Piguet Millenary Carbon One Tourbillon Chronograph utilizes the incomparable AP in-house resources of both Le Brassus and Le Locle.
